OTO: Ritual range

 

Packaging design of OTO’s day skincare range: Ritual.
OTO is a luxury organic CBD skincare brand based in London I have been working with as Head of Design since June 2020.
Ritual Range (Face Serum, Day Cream, Hand Balm and Lip Balm) is curated to encourage people to take a moment out of their busy day, every day, for themselves. It offers the ultimate skincare solution with a selection of a day serum, day cream, lip balm and hand balm that work to protect, hydrate and repair the skin.

Brief

The brief was to create a luxurious yet minimal aesthetic embodying the brand values of balance, visual harmony and simplicity. The packaging also needed to be simple and impactful enough to extend across the four different SKU’s and associated communications materials.

Concept

The packaging aims at celebrating the organic, premium ingredients of the products. In order to communicate this intimate connection to Nature, I created an abstract work of art inspired by the soft, organic shapes of ylang-ylang leaves - one of the main ingredients. The Cream and Serum boxes are activated by sliding and they reveal a black glass bottle.

OTO launched Ritual range in early November 2020, and I have curated the social media launch, coordinating two lifestyle photo shoots.
