Mindful Drawings

These watercolour illustrations are inspired by my love for Nature and its textures.
To me, drawing is a form of meditation. When our thinking mind is quieter, and we are absorbed  in the flow of drawing, something magical begins to happen.
Less preoccupied with the whirl of thinking and planning in our head, we begin to notice the world around us.

“Whoever you are, no matter how lonely, the world offers itself to your imagination.”
– Mary Oliver

I like experimenting with a mix of media, but I mainly use watercolours and china inks, achieving a contrast between graphic lines and crosshatches.
