Brief
Propolise is a natural skincare brand rooted in the landscape and craft traditions of North Wales. As the brand grew beyond small-batch wholesale, its identity no longer reflected the quality or depth of its story. The visuals felt inconsistent and needed a complete refresh to support packaging, e-commerce, and bilingual communication.
Goal
The aim was to build a modern identity that feels grounded, honest, and connected to place. The branding needed to reflect Propolise’s natural ingredients and Welsh heritage, while elevating the look and feel across packaging and digital platforms. The new website would act as a hub for storytelling, education, and e-commerce, giving the brand space to grow.
Journey
Working with Tropic.Studio, we developed a visual identity inspired by the region’s landscape — using earthy tones drawn from honey, flora, and slate. A refined serif paired with a clean sans-serif created a balance of craft and modernity, offering both elegance and readability.
Packaging was redesigned to feel fresh and cohesive, incorporating clear hierarchy, bilingual labelling, and natural imagery without overwhelming the design. The new website followed the same visual rhythm: spacious, warm, and centred on the brand’s connection to nature and process.
The final identity feels contemporary yet rooted, giving Propolise a confident and authentic presence across packaging, digital, and retail touchpoints.
